Womans March Jan. 21, 2917 Washington DC
Washington DC has been exciting lately: The President's inauguration and a huge Woman March on Saturday Jan 21, 2017. In the morning- early, I had a cup coffee at Starbucks near the Capital building. There was long line here everyone was in an open conversation mood. Friendly.
arriving where the march started, there were so many people packed in the street. Photos I took were in far end near Capital Building as there were too many people to pass to get to where the speakers were- or even hear them. Nevertheless, there was much to photograph everywhere. People were wonderful and even the cops were polite and patient.

We thought we had a pretty good scene here with thoasands in Auckland New Zealand, the FIRST Woman's march in the world, thanks to our position near the west side of the international data line. But by the time it got to DC the movement had a lot more energy and momentum going for it, and your photos captured a lot of it. Good work Dimitri!
